I did all showering, shaving, hair cuts, and oral care. I made sure client was wound free and maintained wound care when necessary. I changed Supra pubic catheters, g-tube catheters, and trach care management. I communicated clients needs to his team of ALS doctors. I kept daily logs of all care given to him for the day and communicated any concerns with the team of nurses. Made sure all equipment was working well and had to know who to call if something broke or needed changed. I learned a great deal from doctors, nurses, LVN’s and CNA’s during my 7 year stint working for my family. Caring was the motivating factor for quality care for him.
