Elder Care in New York, New York

Some people have a way with elderly people and people in their late teens and I am one of them. I am a very patient and kind person with an ever-present gentle sense of humor. These qualities make me an excellent candidate for any position as an elder care companion or personal assistant to an elderly person. I have experience in property maintenance and have been a licensed contractor so I am able to professionally oversee the maintenance of a household of any size, and even multiple households. I have trained staff in hospitality and have run apartment rentals and a large villa for holiday rentals. I have a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Education and have done the Diploma in Negotiation at Oxford University's Said Business School. I have also done post-graduate training in executive coaching. I started life as a high school teacher of math and have worked voluntarily all my life as one because I get great joy out of teaching. I have lived in London, Paris, Berlin and New York for varying lengths of time and have a good knowledge of the theater and the arts in all of them. I can share your elderly parent's enjoyment of the arts with them and could help to engender an appreciation of them in your children as well. I have successfully managed to encourage and tutor pre-college students through the quagmire of college applications. Excellent references can be provided in all regards. I am looking for anywhere between 20 and 40 hours per week. People appear to enjoy my cooking which is good because I really enjoy it. I cook traditional English and Italian food. I also cook modern English and American along with some Chinese and Thai dishes. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and enjoy making traditional English afternoon. So I am quite happy to cook meals and snacks and to do housework as well. I am happy to oversee medicines. I have a full driver's license and am used to driving long distances. I have regularly driven in the inner city of Rome, Paris, London and San Francisco so although I have only driven a few times when I have been in New York I am confident navigating the traffic here. I love reading and enjoy reading aloud. I would prefer to live in but am open to a live-out position as well. I want to move to New York permanently to be closer to my son and my two almost new grandchildren so please do contact me. I am available for interview over the next few days.
