Who I Am: Hello Families, My name is AdriAnn Smith. I am a 45 yr old mother and I am currently Certified as a Activities Director for long term nursing facilities in State of Indiana. I am interviewing for an elder care provider position in Anderson, Indiana and surrounding areas.I utilize my skill as an Activity Director as well as my specialty in dementia and find families in need of something little extra. I am extremely creative and enjoy providing individualized activities to each client giving them a sense of purpose. I am available to provide 1:1 or couples companionship, medication assist, therapy/rehab exercises, outings, dressing &grooming , laundry, cooking meals, house cleaning, errands, rides to appts as needed, sensory activities and hospice assistance as well.I am also available for child pet,& plants/flowers care. I've worked with the elderly community in nursing facilities and personal care for over 17 yrs and worked as a department head managing as well. I am very responsible,respectful, caring& understanding to all situations. I able to get the most difficult of clients to eventually engage,enjoy and thrive thru my unique activities . What I provide is much more than just your average ADLs. I am AVAILABLE to also have care done in my home which many families enjoy if they are going on vacation or have wkend plans and/ or are in need of last minute care . I think a change of atmosphere is great for the soul sometimes and my home definitely is kid,pet,and elderly friendly in every way! Our loved ones just want to still feel needed and purposeful. I, no matter if they are up and moving or bed bound, make sure each day has tasks, goals and rewards just like the workday they once knew. I participate in every activity myself and always make sure my clients feel loved useful, engaged and ready for bed by end day. I am CPR Certified and continue to educate myself thru facility/online training and volunteering as well I am willing to always be flexible to each individual families needs,expectations and goals for their loved one. I'm also am willing to travel. I personally have a love and profound respect for our elderly . Through daily Activities and companionship I always want to consistently make sure they always feel needed, useful and that the last years aren't just passed rather LIVED with a fun, happy purpose.
