I am a very compassionate, empathetic and loving person. I play a great game of canasta which my grandmother taught me when I was five years old. I enjoy sitting quietly, reading or chatting about your family and your life. Caring for seniors and insuring the continuing quality of their lives is my passion. I have been a fitness counselor and healthcare professional since 1990. I am both certified and qualified in rehab and post-rehab exercises for people recovering from all types of injuries, surgeries and post cardiac rehab. I emphasize stretching, balance training and strength conditioning with light weights, balls and bands; also, light exercise with heart monitoring. Any of these activities can be done in a chair or on a bed, depending upon where you will be most comfortable. Early care given to these important issues can add quality and years to an individual's life. Taking health histories and knowing your medications are very important. I am interested in your overall well being and would be happy to attend doctor's visits with you so that there are two sets of ears hearing what the doctor is suggesting for your continued care. I have many references available from people who I've worked with and I now consider to be dear friends. An individual's physical condition is most important to well being but I have found the emotional bond I form with my seniors is important too. I am originally from Lancaster County, born and raised in Bird-in-Hand, and have recently returned to Lancaster after many years living in Florida.
